Man Stabbed Near Claridge’s Hotel in Early Morning Attack

Police have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed near Claridge’s Hotel in Mayfair this morning.
Metropolitan Police confirmed officers were called at 7.55am to Brook’s Mews, W1K, following reports of a stabbing. London Ambulance Service crews attended the scene and found a 47-year-old man suffering from stab wounds.
He was taken to hospital, where his injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening and not life-changing.
Detective Chief Inspector Anne Linton, from the Central West Command Unit, said:
“Police were called at 7.55am on Thursday, 31 July to reports of a stabbing on Brook’s Mews, W1K.
“A man aged 47 was treated by the London Ambulance Service for stab wounds and was taken to hospital.
“His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
“An investigation has been launched and a crime scene is currently in place.
“There have been no arrests at this stage.
“We’d like to reassure the public that officers are carrying out a fast-paced and thorough investigation, and would encourage anyone with information to get in touch.”
Police have sealed off the area while forensic officers examine the scene.
