A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of Okechukwu Iweha, 46, who died after being attacked in Worcester Avenue, N17 on April 7, 2024. The incident, which has remained under investigation for months, has now seen significant progress following the arrest of the suspect.

Devon Brown, of no fixed abode, was arrested on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Heathrow Airport after being extradited from the United States. Brown was arrested on suspicion of murder, manslaughter, possession of a knife or pointed blade, and perverting the course of justice.

Brown will appear in custody at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, January 25, 2025, as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of Iweha.

Previously, another individual, Leandro Kaienga, 28, of no fixed abode, had been charged with murder and possession of a bladed article in connection with the case. Kaienga remains remanded in custody ahead of his trial at Wood Green Crown Court, which is scheduled to begin on February 24, 2025.

The family of Okechukwu Iweha has been updated on the latest developments, as police continue their efforts to bring justice for the victim and his loved ones. The investigation into the stabbing death remains ongoing.
