A man has been airlifted to hospital after he was stabbed a number of times inside a shop we can reveal
Police were called with Paramedics following the attack on Beulah Road in %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%%.
A crime scene cordon has been set up outside the Beulah Corner Express convenience store and an attempted murder investigation has been launched
The %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% Air Ambulance landed in the grounds Beulah Road Infant School.
The man was treated at the scene and understood to be in a critical condition.
A spokesman for the Met Police said: Police were called at approximately 3.35pm on Saturday, 8 January to reports of a stabbing in Beulah Road, Thornton Heath.
Officers and %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%% attended and found a man, believed aged in his 20s, suffering stab injuries. He has been taken to a south London hospital for treatment; he remains there in a critical condition.
A man – no further details – was arrested near to the scene on suspicion of GBH with intent; enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.
