Man named following fatal stabbing in Forest Gate

Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in Forest Gate have named him as 33-year-old Ismaila Ceesay. Officers were called to reports that a fight was taking place on Warwick Road, E15 in the early hours of Tuesday, 28 May. Ismaila was taken to hospital where he sadly died. A post-mortem examination carried out on Thursday, 30 May found the cause of %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%% to be a stab wound to the abdomen. A 46-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday, 28 May has been released on bail to a date in mid-June. A 20-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of murder on %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%%, 29 May and a 24-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday, 1 June have also been bailed to a date in late June. Detective from the Homicide and Major Crime Command continue to %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%% to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and remain keen to hear from anyone who has information that could assist them.
