A man was reportedly stabbed inside a licensed venue in Croydon during the early hours of New Year’s Day, prompting a police response.

Metropolitan Police officers were called to George Street, Croydon, at 00:10hrs on Wednesday, 1 January, following reports of a stabbing inside the establishment.

Emergency services, including London Ambulance Service, attended the scene, and the victim was transported to hospital. His injuries have since been assessed as non-life changing.

At this early stage, no arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing.

The police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
