Police have launched a major hunt for Sid Kemp, 31, after he made a daring escape from a prison transport Vanvan while being taken to court.
Prisoner Flees Transport Vehicle
Kemp broke free from custody yesterday following a hearing at england/england/Southendsouthend-england/”>southend-england/”>southend/”>Southend Magistrates’ Court. He was last spotted near The Clusters, heading towards Boston Avenue.
Police Issue Warning: Do Not Approach
Described as a white male, 6ft tall with short black hair, Kemp was wearing a grey tracksuit when he fled. Authorities insist he’s not considered a threat to the public but have urged anyone spotting him to call 999 immediately and avoid direct contact.
“We’re carrying out extensive enquiries to trace Sid Kemp,” said Superintendent Jamie Gingell. “We ask anyone with information to call us or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
