Tim Westwood, the famous DJ, has been hit with nine counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual assault. The charges involve seven different women and span over three decades.

Westwood Set to Appear in Court

Westwood is due to appear at Westminster MagistratesCourt on 11 November. The charges date from 1983 through to 2016, with incidents cropping up across London and even Stroud.

  • 1983: A 17-year-old girl indecently assaulted in Fulham
  • 1986: Woman in her 20s sexually assaulted in Vauxhall
  • 1995-1996: Female aged 17-18 raped and sexually assaulted in London
  • 2000-2001: Female aged 17-18 raped and sexually assaulted in London
  • 2010: Woman in her 20s raped in London
  • 2010: Woman in her 20s sexually assaulted in Stroud
  • 2016: Woman in her 20s sexually assaulted in Finchley

Police Appeal for More Victims and Witnesses

“It takes courage to come forward and report allegations of this nature,” said Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy from the Met Police. “The women who have done so have put their trust in us and we continue to provide them with all available support.”

“Our investigation remains open, and we encourage anyone affected or with relevant information to get in touch. A dedicated team of investigators is available via email. Any reports will be handled in strict confidence by specialist officers.”
