A Metropolitan Police officer has been charged with multiple serious offences, including rape and stalking, and has been suspended from duty.

PC Jake Cummings, who is attached to the Central West Command Unit, faces a total of 11 charges. These include two counts of rape, three counts of stalking, three counts of controlling and coercive behaviour, and three counts of voyeurism. The charges relate to incidents involving three female victims.

PC Cummings is scheduled to appear for trial at St Albans Crown Court on Monday, September 2.

The Metropolitan Police’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been made aware of the charges against PC Cummings, and he has been suspended from all duties as a result of the ongoing investigation.

The case has sparked concern and scrutiny within the police force, with the Met reiterating its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of conduct among its officers.
