Just after midnight on Tuesday 23 September, england/south-west/england/south-west/wiltshire/”>wiltshire/”>Wiltshire Police were called to John Coles park/”>Park in wales/Chippenhamchippenham-wales/”>chippenham/”>Chippenham. Burglars broke into a storage unit, making off with several chainsaws and garden tools. Witnesses spotted two males carrying stolen gear nearby, sparking a swift police response.
CCTV Leads to Quick Arrests
Thanks to CCTV footage, officers zeroed in on a suspect. A 19-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday 24 September at around 5.30pm. The following morning, a 16-year-old boy was also taken into custody. Both remain held in Melksham for questioning.

Insp Pete Foster said: “These arrests came about following police enquiries and diligent members of our community raising concerns regarding suspicious behaviour. It’s really important that if you see somebody acting in a suspicious manner to alert police so we can further investigate.”
