On Saturday 9 December 2023 at about 6.50pm, officers attended the scene of an incident involving a black Ford Focus and a pedestrian on Folkestone Road, near to the railway station.
The pedestrian, a man in his 50s, was taken to a %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%% hospital where he sadly died from his injuries a few weeks later.
Officers from the %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% Unit have been carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the collision including reviewing CCTV footage. They now believe there were members of the public in the area who have not %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%% to them and could have vital information.
