A section of the A28 Pin Hill in Canterbury has been closed following a lorry crash that resulted in damage to metal railings near Canterbury East railway station.

Incident Details

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 4:18 PM today after a lorry collided with the central reservation, causing debris to strike a passing car.

A police spokesperson confirmed:
“Officers attended the scene where a car had also been struck by debris from the collision. The car driver reported a minor injury, and a lane is closed while arrangements are underway to recover the lorry.”

The crash led to the closure of the outside lanes on both sides of Pin Hill, but traffic in the area appears to be largely unaffected.

Traffic and Recovery Efforts

Authorities are working to recover the lorry and repair the damaged railings. Motorists are advised to take alternative routes where possible to avoid potential delays.

Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
