Wood Lane in Dagenham remains closed in both directions following a serious single-vehicle collision that occurred late Friday evening.
Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 10:25 PM on Friday 21st February 2025 after reports of a road %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%% collision (RTC) near the junction with Marston Avenue. Firefighters from the London %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% Brigade attended and carried out a roof removal to safely extricate the driver, who was trapped inside the vehicle.

The London %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%% Service treated the driver at the scene before transporting them to hospital. Fortunately, the driver’s injuries are not believed to be life-changing.

Traffic Disruptions:

- Bus routes affected: 5, 173, 175, 499, EL2 — services are on diversion, and some buses remain trapped within the closure.
