Tottenham, London — Six people have been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of Gregory Castillo Volquez, 36, during a violent altercation at a block of flats on Tiverton Road, Tottenham, in the early hours of 13 January.
Metropolitan Police were called to the scene at approximately 4:55am after reports of a fight. Upon arrival, officers found Mr. Volquez with multiple stab wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the father-of-two was pronounced dead at the scene.
Originally from the Dominican Republic, Mr. Volquez leaves behind two young children. His family is being supported by specialist officers as they come to terms with their devastating loss.
Six Charged With Murder
Following an extensive investigation, police charged five men and one woman in connection with Mr. Volquez’s death. All six suspects appeared before Westminster Magistrates’ Court and have been remanded in custody.
The individuals charged are:
- Carlos Alfredo Ramirez Tavarez, 27 (born 24 August 1996), of Tiverton Road, N15
- Edison Dario Canario Perez, 22 (born 6 June 2001), of Tiverton Road, N15
- Joan Perea, 20 (born 7 October 2004), of Tiverton Road, N15
- Naiara Lizeth Hernandez-Bonilla, 20 (born 2 June 2004), of Birnam Road, N4
- Gabriel Francisco Pineda Gonzalez, 20 (born 17 April 2004), of High Trees, SW2
- Benito Ramirez Kones, 19 (born 27 June 2005), of Fermain Court East, N1
All six have been charged with murder and are due to appear at the Old Bailey for a preliminary hearing later this month.

Detective Chief Inspector Laura Semple, who is leading the investigation, said:
“This was a brutal and tragic attack that resulted in the loss of a young father’s life. Our team has worked tirelessly to bring those responsible into custody, but the investigation remains ongoing.”
“We are still appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information about what happened to come forward. No detail is too small, and it could be crucial in helping us achieve justice for Gregory and his family.”
