A man has been charged in connection with a serious assault that occurred in Ramsgate in the early hours of Thursday, November 7. Kent Police were called shortly after 1 a.m. following reports that a man had been assaulted on Harbour %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%%.
Emergency services attended the scene, and the victim was transported to a %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% hospital, where he remains receiving treatment for his injuries.
Following an %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%%, Peter Smith, 43, of no fixed address, was arrested around 4:30 a.m. the same morning. He has now been charged with causing grievous bodily harm (GBH).
Smith is scheduled to appear before %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_3%% Magistrates’ Court today, Friday, November 8, as police continue their investigation into the incident.
