Patrols swiftly responded to a suspected burglary in Dartford, resulting in the arrest of four individuals. The incident occurred around 1:30 am on Monday, July 1, 2024, at a residence on London Road, Stone.

The resident reported seeing a suspected intruder holding what appeared to be a knife at their bedroom window. The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle with several accomplices.

Approximately 20 minutes later, patrols intercepted a Mercedes travelling towards London along East Rochester Way. The vehicle was stopped at Shooters Hill with the assistance of the Metropolitan Police, leading to the detention of four suspects.

The individuals arrested were identified as Dontae Garwood, 19, of no fixed address; Skye Harvey, 22, of Tanfield Road, Croydon; and two 17-year-old boys from Greater London. They were charged by investigators from North Kent CID with aggravated burglary.

Mr Garwood and the two teenagers have been remanded to Medway Magistrates’ Court and will appear at a hearing before Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, July 29. Ms Harvey, who also faces an additional charge of driving without insurance, was conditionally bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, August 25.

The swift actions of the patrols and the collaboration with the Metropolitan Police were crucial in apprehending the suspects and ensuring the safety of the community.
