Police in Birmingham have arrested three men on suspicion of terrorism offences following early morning raids. The bold swoop targeted eight addresses across the West Midlands city.
Counter Terror Teams Strike in Ward End, Saltley & Alum Rock
- The suspects, aged 19 to 29, were detained after police executed a string of intelligence-led warrants.
- The homes raided are spread across the Ward End, Saltley, and Alum Rock areas, known hotspots within Birmingham.
Suspects Held Over Distribution of Terrorist Material
West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit confirmed the arrests were pre-planned. All three men are being questioned at a local police station.
“These arrests follow careful intelligence gathering and are part of our ongoing efforts to keep the public safe,” a West Midlands Police spokesperson said.
