Police officers have arrested two individuals and seized four motorbikes following reports of dangerous riding on the M11 between Newport and Stansted Airport.
Incident Details
Essex Police received a call shortly before 3:40 pm on Saturday, April 5, regarding a group of around a dozen motorbikes traveling southbound on the M11. The bikes were reportedly being ridden dangerously and at high speed.
Specialist officers acted swiftly to intercept the vehicles as they entered the Birchanger Services. Following the interception, two people were arrested.

Arrests and Seizures
- A 35-year-old man from Enfield was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. He has since been released under investigation.
- A second man was reported for a public order offence at the scene and then de-arrested.
In addition, four motorbikes were seized under police anti-social driving powers, and several riders were reported for road traffic offences.

“Our priority is to keep our roads safe. Reckless and dangerous riding poses a significant risk to other road users, and we will continue to take robust action against those who disregard road safety.”
