It is with sadness that we can confirm that two people have died and two others are seriously injured following a collision on the A16 today.
Emergency services were dispatched at 12:31 PM to reports of a multi-vehicle collision on the A16, directly opposite Pinchbeck, near West Marsh Road and the roundabout linking to the B1180.
The incident involved a black Toyota Auris, a white Volvo lorry, and a black Vauxhall Meriva.
The driver of the Toyota Auris, a man in his 50s, was tragically killed in the collision. A female passenger in the car, also aged in her 50s, has been seriously injured and is currently receiving treatment in hospital.
The driver of the Vauxhall Meriva, a woman in her 30s, was also sadly killed. Two young girls travelling in the car with her were affected; one is seriously injured while the other is not thought to be seriously hurt. Both have been taken to hospital.
The male driver of the lorry, a man in his 30s, received minor injuries.
Roads in the area remain closed while investigative work continues and recovery is carried out.
