Emergency services, including an ambulance/" title="Air Ambulance" rel="nofollow">air ambulance, rushed to George Street in Croydon on Tuesday, 19 March, following reports of an assault.

Police were alerted to the incident at approximately 5.15pm and promptly attended the scene. Paramedics treated one individual for a head injury as a result of the assault.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and police inquiries into the incident are ongoing.

The presence of an air ambulance in east Croydon caught the attention of onlookers, with ambulances also observed heading towards the area. Additionally, London Trams services were temporarily suspended as police cars attending the incident blocked the tramway.

Responding to inquiries about the tram service disruption, Transport for London (TfL) clarified that the incident did not directly involve the London Trams network. Services were momentarily halted due to police activity in the vicinity, but normal operations have since resumed.
