Tragedy struck today on the A16 in Lincolnshire when a collision involving several vehicles resulted in two fatalities and left two others seriously injured. Emergency services were swiftly dispatched to the scene following reports of the incident at 12:31am
The crash occurred directly opposite Pinchbeck, near West Marsh Road and the roundabout connecting to the B1180. The vehicles involved were a black Toyota Auris, a white Volvo lorry, and a black Vauxhall Meriva.
- Fatalities:
- Driver of the Toyota Auris: A man in his 50s lost his life in the collision.
- Driver of the Vauxhall Meriva: A woman in her 30s tragically lost her life.
- Injuries:
- Passenger in the Toyota Auris: A female passenger, also in her 50s, sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.
- Two Young Girls: Traveling in the Vauxhall Meriva, one of the girls suffered serious injuries, while the other escaped with minor harm. Both have been transported to the hospital for medical attention.
- Lorry Driver: The male driver of the Volvo lorry, in his 30s, sustained minor injuries.
