In the early hours of Tuesday, June 4, a police pursuit was initiated after a car failed to stop for officers. The vehicle managed to evade police and disappeared from sight.

Shortly thereafter, authorities discovered an injured male cyclist on Norbury Avenue in SW16. The London Ambulance Service promptly attended the scene, and the cyclist was transported to a south London hospital, where he remains in critical condition. His next of kin have been notified.

A police cordon remains in place at Norbury Avenue as investigators continue their efforts to locate the car that fled from police custody. The Metropolitan Police’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed of the incident.
