The budget retailer is urging customers to stop using these items immediately and return them to the store for a full refund. The recall affects a range of products, including children’s toys, table salt, and popular confectionery, due to potential hazards.
The company outlined the risks associated with the affected products in a safety alert on its website this week. Each recalled item has been flagged with a strict “do not use” or “do not eat” warning. Below is a list of the products being recalled and the reasons for the recall:
- Revels, 205g Slimpouch: Small Pieces of Rubber
- Mars Wrigley UK is recalling Revels due to the potential presence of very small pieces of rubber. Affected batch codes include 344G2SLO00 (best before 27/10/2024) and 345B1SLO00 (best before 03/11/2024). Customers are warned: “Do not eat them.”
- My First Drop & Roll Tower: Potential Choking Hazard
- This baby toy is being recalled due to a “potential risk of choking.” Home Bargains warns parents that the rattling balls are smaller than required standards, posing a risk if a child places them in their mouth.
- Dri-Pak Table Salt, 750g: Contaminated with Small Pieces of Plastic
- Home Bargains has recalled Dri-Pak table salt due to possible contamination with small plastic pieces, which could pose a risk if consumed. Affected batch codes include 3205 and 3206.
- Chocomel, 300ml: Allergy or Intolerance Risk
- Interstoq Ltd is recalling 300ml bottles of Chocomel because milk is not declared in English text on some batches, posing a health risk to individuals with a milk allergy or intolerance. Affected best before dates are 07/11/2023 and 29/11/2023.
- Optivive Allergy Eye Mist, 10ml: Contamination
- EM Pharma is recalling this eye mist due to potential contamination. Affected products have expiry dates of 02/2026 and 04/2026. Home Bargains advises customers to stop using it immediately.
- PIFCO Convector Heater with Turbo and Timer: Overheating and Fire Risk
- Home Bargains warns of the risk of overheating and fire with this heater due to an incorrect fuse size. The recall applies to heaters bought between November 1, 2023, and December 12, 2023. Affected batch codes include 596131, 596133, 596140, 596141, 596147, 596148, and 596149.
- Saugatuck Brewing Co. Neapolitan Milk Stout 355ml: Allergy Risk
- Heathwick Limited is recalling this product due to milk and oats not being declared as allergens. Customers are urged not to consume it if they have allergies to these ingredients.
- Saugatuck Brewing Co. Blueberry & Maple Stout 355ml: Allergy Risk
- Similar to the Neapolitan Milk Stout, this product is being recalled due to undeclared allergens (milk and oats).
