Police are investigating a violent assault that occurred in Carston Close, Lewisham, on Friday evening.

At approximately 5:33 pm, officers were called to reports of an alleged substance attack at a residential address. Upon arrival, they discovered a man who had sustained minor injuries after being assaulted with a bat. The victim also reported having an unknown, non-corrosive liquid thrown over him.

Victim Taken to Hospital

London Ambulance Service attended the scene, and the injured man was transported to hospital as a precaution. Authorities confirmed the liquid was non-corrosive and posed no further danger.

Suspect Fled the Scene

The offender, who is believed to be known to the victim, fled before police arrived. No arrests have been made at this time, and enquiries are ongoing.

Appeal for Information

Police are urging witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
