A man described as the “most calm, gentle person you can come across” has tragically died after being struck by a motorbike in Lambeth.
Rahman Shah, 57, of Lambeth, was hit by a Honda motorcycle on Kennington Park Road on December 18. He was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries three days later on December 21.
Family Tribute
In a heartfelt tribute, Mr. Shah’s family remembered him as a wise and caring individual.
“He was a very intelligent, educated, and hardworking family man,” the statement read.
“He had the answer to everything. His interests were in education, poetry, and society. He was the only child and brought pride to his family name.
They added: “Shah was the most calm, gentle person you can come across.”
The Incident
The collision occurred shortly before 3:16 pm on December 18. The rider of the Honda motorbike stopped at the scene and is cooperating fully with police inquiries.
Emergency services arrived quickly, providing first aid before Mr. Shah was taken to the hospital. Despite their efforts, he passed away due to his injuries.
Police Appeal
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police are appealing for witnesses and any dashcam footage that may help their investigation.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
“Detectives investigating a fatal collision in Lambeth are appealing for witnesses and information.”
They continued: “Sadly, 57-year-old Rahman Shah from Lambeth later died from his injuries on 21 December.”
