Two Arrested in Croydon Murder Investigation Following Fatal Shooting

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police have arrested two individuals in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in Croydon last week.
A 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, while a 37-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both remain in police custody as enquiries continue.
The arrests follow a shooting on Imperial Way at approximately 17:04hrs on Thursday, 19 June, where emergency services responded to reports of gunfire. A 41-year-old man was found at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Ongoing Investigation
Detective Chief Inspector Dan Whitten, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said:
“My thoughts remain with the victim’s family as they come to terms with this tragic loss. Our team of specially trained officers continue to support them as our investigation progresses.
“We would urge any witnesses to come forward and share information with us.”
