Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Collision with Lorry in Shermanbury
Emergency services rushed to the scene of a serious road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a lorry on Brighton Road, Shermanbury shortly before 12.30pm on Wednesday, 25 June.
The incident prompted a full emergency response, with police, paramedics, and fire crews in attendance. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was treated at the scene before being transported to hospital for further treatment. The condition of the lorry driver has not yet been confirmed by authorities.
Road Closure and Investigation
Brighton Road was closed in both directions while emergency teams worked to make the area safe and accident investigators assessed the scene. The closure led to traffic disruption, with long delays reported throughout the afternoon. Drivers were urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
