Body Discovered Beside Tracks at Kilburn High Road Overground Station
A body has been found beside the railway tracks at Kilburn High Road Overground Station in northwest London, prompting a major response from emergency services and British Transport Police (BTP) this morning.
The alarm was raised before midnight on Wednesday 16th July 2025 with emergency response from London Ambulance Service British Transport Polic eand the London Fire Brigade. The body was located on the side of the track near platform 2, and paramedics were called to confirm death at the scene.
BTP Lead Investigation
BTP officers remain at the scene and are leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discovery. A cordon has been placed around the affected area while forensics officers and scene examiners carry out a detailed assessment.
At this stage, the identity of the deceased has not been confirmed, and police are working to inform next of kin.
Station Disruption Expected
Passengers using Kilburn High Road station on Thursday morning are advised to check before they travel, as disruption is likely while the investigation continues.
Transport for London and London Overground services may be diverted or suspended temporarily on this part of the network.

A BTP source at the scene said:
“We were called to Kilburn High Road Overground station following reports of a body beside the railway line. Officers attended alongside paramedics, but sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
