A man has died following a collision involving a tractor in Fiddington, near Tewkesbury, late on Saturday night (9 August).

Gloucestershire Police said the incident occurred at around 11.25pm when a tractor travelling through fields struck hedges and several stationary vehicles near Monks Lane.

The passenger, a man in his 50s, sustained serious injuries. Members of the public provided first aid before police and paramedics arrived. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and the coroner has been made aware.

A man in his 20s, believed to have been driving the tractor, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through alcohol.

The collision took place shortly after the Severn Vale Vintage Club annual show, which had been held at the location earlier in the day. Organisers have confirmed that the event will remain closed today (Sunday 10 August) as a result of the incident.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information who has not yet spoken to officers is urged to contact them online by quoting incident 591 of 9 August via the Gloucestershire Constabulary website.
