Police have arrested two men following a wild car theft and dangerous pursuits across Faversham and Canterbury. The drama unfolded over two days, leaving minor injuries and smashed vehicles in its wake.

Stolen Car Sparks Early Morning Hunt

Kent Police were called just after 7.30am on Saturday 11 October when a vehicle was stolen from Standard Quay in Faversham.

By 10am, officers spotted the stolen car on Sturry Road, Canterbury. But when police signalled it to stop, the driver refused and rammed into three other vehicles during a desperate escape attempt. The car then vanished from sight.

Man Bailed After First Arrest, Second Nabbed After Sunday Pursuit

A 31-year-old local man was arrested the same day on suspicion of theft and cannabis possession. He has since been released on bail while investigations continue.

The very next day, Sunday 12 October, the chase resumed. Police found the stolen vehicle parked on Whiting Crescent, Faversham.

When officers gave chase, the stolen car collided with another vehicle, leaving its driver with minor injuries.

The pursuit ended in Preston Grove, where police arrested a 25-year-old local man. He faces multiple charges including theft, failure to stop, dangerous driving, and refusal to provide a specimen. He remains in custody as inquiries press on.
