Shock in Rushey Green as a 54-year-old pedestrian was seriously hurt in a nasty collision with a van at around 7am on Saturday, October 18.

Police, London ambulance-service/" title="Ambulance Service" rel="nofollow">Ambulance Service, Fire Brigade, and even London’s Air Ambulance scrambled to the incident near Lewisham street/" title="High Street" rel="nofollow">High Street. The injured man was rushed to hospital, initially unresponsive about his condition.

Police Update: Condition Life-Changing, No Arrests Yet

“At around 07:00hrs on Saturday, 18 October, police responded to a report of a road traffic collision between a van and a pedestrian in Lewisham High Street, SE13,” said a Metropolitan Police spokesperson.

“A 54-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. We await an update on his condition. There have been no arrests and enquiries are ongoing.”
