Firefighters donned breathing apparatus and used high-pressure hose reels to wrestle the fire under control. ESFRS issued urgent warnings, telling the public to stay clear of the area.
Nearby residents were advised to keep doors and windows firmly shut to block out smoke and fumes.

At 3:40pm, crews remained fully engaged at the scene, maintaining the public safety alerts.
By 6:30pm, the response was scaled back to four fire engines, but firefighters were still actively tackling the blaze.
