Tragedy struck early on Thursday, 27 November when a crash on Common Lane, Pleasley, claimed two lives. Derbyshire Police have named the victims and are urging witnesses to come forward.
Fatal Collision Details
The crash involved a Vauxhall Meriva and a Suzuki Alto at around 6.20am. The Suzuki’s driver, 26-year-old Amie Pearson, and passenger, 29-year-old Chelsea Carlisle, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police confirmed the families have been informed and expressed their condolences.
Serious Injuries and Arrest
A nine-year-old boy in the Suzuki suffered life-changing injuries and remains hospitalised. Meanwhile, three men in the Vauxhall were injured, two seriously.
An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He too was taken to hospital due to his injuries and remains in care.
