Desharn Felix, 21 , of no fixed address, was arrested on Wednesday, 5 July.
On Friday, 7 July, he was charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life and possession of cannabis.
He will appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 7 July.
An investigation was launched after police were called at 11.44pm on Saturday, 17 June to reports of a firearms discharge in Blackhorse Lane, E17.
Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service. A 22-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound.
He was taken to hospital in a critical condition. His injuries were later assessed as not life-threatening, however he remains in hospital.
