An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with the murder of Ryan Burton in Kettering. Burton, 34, from Corby, tragically passed away at University Hospital Coventry on January 16, six days after he was seriously assaulted in Spring Rise Park, near Highfield Road, on the evening of January 10.
Ace Hill, also 18, from Minden Close, Corby, has been charged with murder and robbery related to the attack. Hill is scheduled to appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, January 25, for a formal hearing.
In connection with the investigation, nine others—seven men and two women—were arrested, but they have since been released on police bail as inquiries continue.
Detectives from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) Major Crime Team are urging anyone who may have information, particularly from the area between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm on January 10, to come forward. This includes anyone who may have CCTV, doorbell, or dash-cam footage.
