The A15 Humber Bridge has been closed in both directions to high-sided and vulnerable vehicles as strong winds batter the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and follow designated diversion routes to avoid the affected area.

Diversion Routes

For northbound traffic:

  • Head west on the A180 to join the M180.
  • Continue northbound on the M18.
  • At the end of the M18, take the M62 eastbound and then proceed onto the A63 eastbound.

For southbound traffic:

  • Follow the reverse route: A63 west, M62 west, exiting at J35 to join the M18 south.
  • Exit at J5 of the M18 and take the M180 eastbound, continuing to the A180.
