Man Hospitalised After Car Overturns In Albany Road Collision

A man has been taken to hospital following a serious road traffic collision on Albany Road in Walworth, South London, that caused widespread traffic disruption during Monday morning’s rush hour.

The incident occurred just before 9am, with emergency services responding quickly to the scene where a white vehicle had overturned.


Ambulance and Police Response

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said:

“We were called at 8.59am today (9 June) to reports of a road traffic collision on Albany Road, SE17. We sent an ambulance crew and treated a man before taking him to hospital.”

The condition of the man has not been confirmed, but he was transported for further treatment as a precaution.


Road Closure and Delays

The collision caused significant traffic congestion around Albany Road, with several connecting streets experiencing knock-on delays. Drivers were advised to avoid the area throughout the morning.

Local residents shared images from the scene showing the overturned car and emergency services in attendance.
