A man was stabbed in the head following an alleged road rage incident in Edgware, prompting a police investigation and the arrest of a 60-year-old man.
The Metropolitan Police were called to Hamonde Close, near the Broadfields Estate, at 5:03pm on Thursday, May 29, where officers found a man suffering from multiple knife wounds, including injuries to his head.
Stabbing Linked to Earlier Driver Altercation
Detectives believe the stabbing was linked to an earlier confrontation between two drivers on nearby Bushfield Crescent. While the victim’s injuries were not deemed life-threatening or life-changing, the assault has raised concerns among local residents.
Arrest Made, Enquiries Ongoing
Three days after the incident, on Sunday, June 1, police arrested a 60-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). He has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
A Met Police spokesperson said:
“The stabbing had allegedly occurred following an earlier altercation between two drivers. Enquiries continue, and we urge anyone with information to come forward.”
