Emergency services responded this evening to a high-rise fire incident at the Holiday Inn Express on Mill Street, Slough 

The fire, which was reported shortly before 8pm on Wednesday, May 28, occurred within one of the rooms, triggering the a massive response  three fire and rescue services, Royal Berkshire,Buckinghamshire and London have all been called to tackle the blaze.

 

Fire crews from Slough, Maidenhead, Gerrards Cross and Ascot were deployed to the scene.

 

 The blaze was contained to the upper floors

No injuries have been reported at this time, and it is currently unclear what caused the fire.

Hotel Evacuated as Precaution

Guests were reportedly evacuated as a precaution as firefighters carried out checks and ventilation procedures on the affected floor.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is expected to follow once the incident is under control.
