Four men have been arrested and a firearm seized following a road rage incident in Lozells Road, Birmingham, police have confirmed.

Incident Details

West Midlands Police were called to the scene just before 5 PM yesterday after reports that two men—one armed with a knife—were making threats to another driver.

The suspects fled the scene, but officers, with assistance from the drones team, tracked a vehicle to an address in Westhorp Grove, Birmingham.

Arrests and Firearm Discovery

  • Firearms officers attended the address and arrested two men, aged 19 and 26, on suspicion of:
    • Affray
    • Making threats with a blade in a public place
  • While investigating further suspicious activity in the area, officers searched a nearby garden and recovered a viable firearm and ammunition.
  • Two additional suspects, aged 27 and 26, were arrested on suspicion of:
    • Possessing a firearm
    • Possessing ammunition

Ongoing Investigation

All four men remain in custody as enquiries continue.

West Midlands Police have confirmed the operation was part of Operation Target, their ongoing initiative to remove guns and dangerous weapons from the streets.
