A 16-year-old boy has been charged in connection with a double stabbing that occurred on Monday, 16 June at Paddington Recreation Ground, W9, police have confirmed.

Officers were called to the popular West London park at around 13:50hrs after reports of two teenage boys, aged 15 and 16, found with stab injuries. Emergency services attended the scene and both victims were taken to hospital.

Thankfully, police said the injuries sustained are not believed to be life-changing.

In a statement issued today, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:

“On Tuesday, 17 June, a 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the investigation. He has since been charged with threatening a person with a bladed article in a public place and wounding with intent.”

The teenager is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 19 June.

Police continue to investigate the incident, and have not ruled out further arrests.
