A teenage girl was rushed to the hospital after being stabbed near a school in West London on Wednesday evening (April 16), prompting a swift response from emergency services and the arrest of a man at the scene.

The incident took place at around 8.15pm on Godfrey Avenue, UB5, close to Alec Reed Academy in Northolt.

Police and paramedics arrived quickly after receiving reports of a stabbing. The victim was found with a cut to the head, and a crime scene was established as officers worked to secure the area.


Victim Taken to Hospital

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said:

“We were called at 8.14pm to reports of a stabbing near Godfrey Avenue, UB5.
We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and a member of our tactical response unit.
We treated a teenager at the scene and took her to hospital.”

The girl’s injury has been assessed as non-life-threatening.


Arrest Made at the Scene

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that a man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). He remains in police custody as the investigation continues.

“Police were called at approximately 20:15hrs on Wednesday, 16 April to reports of a stabbing in Godfrey Avenue, Northolt.
Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a woman suffering a cut to the head; she was taken to hospital.
A crime scene was put in place while the incident was dealt with. Enquiries into the circumstances continue,” a Met spokesperson said.

Police are urging members of the public to come forward with any information that may assist the investigation.
