A section of Ariel Way and White City Bus Station (W12) was closed this afternoon following a collision involving a pedestrian, causing disruption to traffic and public transport in the busy west London area.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 4:45pm after reports of an incident at the bus station, prompting an immediate closure of the site while the area was secured.
A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police Service later confirmed that a pedestrian was involved in a collision and was taken to hospital. Fortunately, it has since been confirmed that the individual’s injuries are not life-threatening.
The closure impacted several bus routes and local traffic along Ariel Way, with commuters urged to seek alternative routes while emergency crews attended the scene. Transport for London (TfL) advised passengers to check for live service updates before travelling.
The White City Bus Station has since reopened, and normal operations have resumed.
An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing, although no arrests have been reported at this stage.
