Wiltshire Police’s equestrian team has returned triumphant from the Forces Equine Championships, held over the bank holiday weekend at Weston Lawns Equestrian Centre in Bedworth.

Representing the force individually, Hollie Clark competed with two horses and brought home an impressive haul of rosettes, championship sashes, and four winners’ rugs, contributing to team wins in both mixed police and inter-agency competitions.

Day One Results

  • Hollie rode her horse Maesmynach Heliwr (Hunter) to victory in the 85cm qualifier and took 4th place in the 95cm showjumping class.

  • Her second mount, Corgary Shadow (Alice), shone with wins in both the 1.05m and 1.10m qualifiers.

Day Two Success

  • Maesmynach Heliwr went on to win the 85cm Championship.

  • Corgary Shadow placed 5th in the 1.05m Championship, capping off a consistently strong performance.

Together with riders from Kent Police, the Metropolitan Police, Suffolk Police, and Durham Police, Hollie helped Wiltshire win:

  • The Mixed Police Team event (Wiltshire, Kent, Met)

  • The overall Police vs Prison section, scoring the top four cumulative results across the competition

Hollie said:

“I’m really proud of both horses’ performances – they really stepped up to the occasion. The courses were technical and asked a few questions, so I had to ride quickly and accurately to secure those placings.”

She noted the competition included both serving and non-serving police personnel, as well as family associates, creating a friendly but fiercely competitive atmosphere.

Recognition for Teamwork and Dedication

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson praised Hollie’s achievement:

“Hollie and her horses represented Wiltshire with distinction. Her dedication and skill embody the values of the Force, and we’re thrilled to see her success on a national stage.”
