Four fire engines and approximately 25 firefighters responded to a significant house fire on Cromwell Street in Hounslow, after multiple emergency calls reported a blaze engulfing the upper floor of a detached property.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) received the first of 10 emergency calls at 11:56 AM, prompting a rapid deployment of fire crews from Hillingdon, Fulham, Heathrow, and Twickenham stations. Firefighters brought the fire under control by 1:08 PM.
Extent of Damage and Response
- Damage: Most of the first floor and approximately half of the roof were damaged by fire.
- Evacuation: Six people evacuated the building before crews arrived.
- Medical: Four individuals were assessed at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
“Our crews worked quickly to contain the fire and ensure the safety of those involved,” a London Fire Brigade spokesperson said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Fire investigators will examine the scene for potential electrical faults, accidental ignition sources, or any suspicious circumstances.
