Detectives in Scotland are appealing for witnesses as they investigate a distressing incident of racial abuse that occurred on a train. On Saturday, 14 October 2023, at approximately 5.30pm, a group of three children, aged between 10 and 15, were subjected to racial abuse by four white men. The incident took place on a train travelling from Carlisle to Dumfries.
The suspects, all believed to be in their sixties, targeted the children with their offensive behavior. The description of the individuals involved has been provided in the hope that it may assist in identifying them. The first suspect is described as approximately 5ft8 tall, with fair hair and wearing a pink top. The second individual had white hair and was dressed in a red t-shirt and a blue jacket. The third suspect had white hair, a white moustache, and was wearing a white t-shirt with a light green jacket. Lastly, the fourth suspect, also with white hair, was wearing glasses, a flat cap, a blue jumper, and a blue jacket.
