A police cordon has been put in place outside a Co-op supermarket on Tyler Street, Greenwich, after reports of a stabbing.

Metropolitan Police officers were first seen at the scene this morning (Friday, 29 August), with tape blocking off the pavement at the junction with Trafalgar Road.

A number of police vehicles are also parked outside the store.

What We Know So Far

  • 10:32am: First reports emerge of a police presence on Tyler Street.

  • 10:43am: Video footage shows police tape around part of the pavement outside the Co-op.

  • 10:51am: Eyewitnesses on social media claim a stabbing has taken place, though this has not yet been confirmed.

  • 11:26am: A picture shared on social media shows multiple police vehicles and a cordon in front of the store.
