Mark Brinton, 50, from Rockford Avenue, Kirkby, has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for a string of child sexual abuse offences, following a conviction at Liverpool Crown Court.

Brinton was found guilty in February 2025 after denying the charges and forcing his victim to endure the trauma of a trial. He remained in custody until sentencing on Monday, 19 May.
