A 29-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Pamela Munro, who was fatally stabbed at her home in Enfield last weekend.

Abdirazak Omar, of Ayley Croft, Enfield, was formally charged on Wednesday, 23 April with the murder of 45-year-old Pamela Munro, as well as possession of a knife. He is due to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, 24 April, in connection with the case.

The investigation was launched on Saturday, 19 April, after police were called to a property in Ayley Croft at approximately 7:00pm. Officers arrived at the scene alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, where they found Pamela with a stab wound. Despite extensive efforts by emergency responders, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her family have been informed and continue to receive support from specialist officers.

A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police said:

“This is a devastating case, and our thoughts remain with Pamela’s loved ones as they continue to process this tragic loss. Our officers have worked swiftly to gather evidence and bring charges forward.”

On Monday, 21 April, Omar was arrested on suspicion of murder. Following further enquiries, he was charged on Wednesday and remains in custody.

The case is being handled by the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command, and the investigation is ongoing.
