Police have launched an investigation after a man in his 60s died unexpectedly in Orpington, South East London, on Sunday morning.
Emergency services, including Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service, were called to Knoll Rise at approximately 9.30am following reports of an unconscious man.
Despite urgent efforts by paramedics and police officers, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:
“At 09:30hrs on Sunday, 08 June, police were called to Knoll Rise, Orpington.
On arrival, they found a man in his 60s unconscious and despite efforts from officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, he was pronounced dead.
His death is being treated as unexpected, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”

The incident occurred near Central Court and Orpington High Street, an area typically busy with foot traffic and local businesses. A police cordon was briefly in place as emergency services responded.
