A repeat drink-driver was caught hiding under a fallen tree after attempting to flee police in Devon & Cornwall—thanks to the expert tracking skills of police dog Albert.
Suspect Flees Into Woodland
Officers were alerted to a suspected drink-driver and pursued the vehicle until the driver abandoned it and ran into nearby woodland.
In response, PD Albert was deployed to track the suspect through the dense undergrowth.
PD Albert Sniffs Out the Offender
Despite the suspect’s efforts to conceal themselves under a fallen tree, the highly trained police dog quickly located the individual, who was found wet, muddy, and attempting to stay hidden.
The repeat offender was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.

A spokesperson for Devon & Cornwall Police praised PD Albert for his outstanding tracking abilities, stating:
“This was a fantastic example of police dog work in action. Thanks to PD Albert, a repeat drink-driver who posed a risk to the public was quickly located and taken into custody.”
The suspect now faces further legal action for their latest offence.
